St Pierre Chain & Cable Co.. Call them for a quote on the chain size that you need. They manufacture and distribute tire chains throughout the USA and will also sell direct...... They are one of the few that still sell a American made product that is still quality built. Others might sell chains for less that are imported from the other side of the globe, but there is no comparison to the high quality that St. Pierre Chain produces. Long after the sweetness of the cheap price is gone, you will still be living with a cheap poorly made product. Sure, some will disagree with this statement, but the proof is in the performance of the chain and the longevity of a quality product. There is a definite correlation between price and quality and I have never found that you can purchase the best quality product for the least amount of $$$$$.

I sure found that out the hard way when I recently bought an imported chain for pulling trees. One of the links opened up after very little pulling, and looked about as strong as a noodle.
No more of these chains for me! John

what did you end up getting for chains?

iv'e got a dk 45 on the way and will be looking for chains.

iv'e got a set of ring skidder chains we might be able to modify to fit the rear tires.

I went to Tire chains.com and got some. Not full on Valby Ice Chains. The fronts ae two link ladder style with the extra grippers V and the rears are a square pattern with the V. I have been logging lately and they do work great. Just need to get 'em tight . I have never had chains on the front end and it sure makes a huge diference. Also picked up a used Kioti sun shade from my dealer that helps keep the snow off the old melon. I will be building a logging styled, skidder looking cab this spring.

If you are going to be doing much skidding don't even heso=itate and go for the 55. Extra weight and the turbo power is awesome for a rig of it's size. Only bummer is the winch will out pull the lift of the 3 pt. hitch. It is real easy to want to over load with yur hitches.

my skidding should be light.

i'll only be skidding for my own personal consumption.

the 45 is about two times bigger than what i need so it should be just right for me.
although the 55 with a cab would be nice.
