Well we are located in the worst part of the storm. North of us is getting snow. South of us got rain. We have freezing rain. And the winds are supposed to kick up tonight. I have both woodstoves going just in case. Plus gas for the generator.

Pic 1. The birches bend over pretty easy
2. A close of an azalea
3. A small pine. Every needle is covered.

The lights keep flickering so I better post.

WMUR9 news saying you folks got the nasy part of the snow.
Looks like 1/4" of ice on the limbs and branches...yikes.
Sure hope some warmth mixes w/the wind for you folks down there.

Little over inch snow up here than turn to sleet follow by rain w/mid 30's...going to leave the snow until the storm passes, than drop the plow tomorrow night before temps dip into the single numbers.

Stay warm and safe down there Phil.

Hope everything turns out ok for you. All I got today was drizzle and fog. I think I have seen a whole 3 snow flakes so far this winter. :(

I'm not sure if we even got an inch, here in Dunbarton. We got the ice though!

Just East of Wolfeboro, NH I got about 1.5" of snow and a thin layer of ice on top of it. Made for an interesting drive to work. Seeing so many people off the road made me remember to put the chain in the Ram. I can't count how many people I pulled out last year.

Freezing rain is very nasty stuff but sure is pretty to look at.
Good luck to you and hope that you get some qarm weather soon.
We're down to low twenties but very little snow or rain.

Well we lost power last evening shortly after I posted. It stayed off until 3 PM today - 21 hours total. The two wood stoves kept the house warm. One is a cook stove so dinner was no problem.

We ran the generator to protect the pipes. The furnace is in the UN -attached garage with the pipes going to the house under the deck. We ran the generator every 4 hours for half an hour. A little longer this morning so we could pump water and take hot showers.

Driveway was a sheet of ice. As soon as I tried to move the truck it just slid down the drive sideways. No friction at all. Schools were closed.

After I got someone to sand/salt the drive I went to work. Main roads were dry. 16 miles south in Mass where I work they had nothing. A little rain.

The trees ae bent over even more. My dogs can't walk under the one in the first pic from last night.

As long as the wind doesn't kick up I think we are ok.

Glad to see the NH TBNers all fared well.

Here are a few more pics my wife took this morning.

1. Me re-filling the generator. Sure was great to have.
2. The back yard
3. Wood piles waiting to be split.

As someone mentioned they sure are pretty storms.

We lost power for about 14-15 hrs, it's nice to have a generator and wood stove! The road is arched with quite a few of the smaller Birch trees. It's like driving through a tunnel leaving the house. Hope they spring back when it warms up a bit but I doubt it. There are quite a few people without power s'till, and its 9 degrees this morning.

- 1 degree here in Dunbarton. We did get the ice, but not as bad as southeast of here. All the trees are iced over and the tempertures will not get warm enough today to melt any of it off.

Still have power though so that is saying something.
