We keep an ice maker on the back porch, like one of those that you see in some of the older restaraunts. It has a copper wire that hangs down inside, once the wire comes in contact with the ice it shuts the ice maker off so that it doesn't just keep making ice indefinitely. This wire is all bunched up, it's about two feet longer than it needs to be. Does any one know if there's any reason I can't cut it off to a more managebale length?
