ID model of Tecumseh without shroud

Hi All,

I was given an old horizontal Tecumseh engine that I'm guessing is about 5 horse, but the shroud is missing, so no tags to ID the model. It is mostly complete otherwise. Is there another spot on the engine that gives the model? Thanks in advance!

Unless there is a shorty tag on the breather bolt then no. You could post a pic, pull the head and measure bore and stroke. Tecumseh made both a small frame HS series, an H series and and HH series in the older days.
