Has anyone seen or thought about having a serrated edge (front of back) on the ripper tooth? This way when you get to a big root that can't just be pulled out, you place the cutting edge along the root and push down with the full weight of the machine a few times, cutting the root. You wouldn't have to cut all the way through, just enough that the backhoe would break the root. Imagine a big sawzall blade on a backhoe.

I used an axe yesterday and that gets old... I'm taking my cordless sawzall today but that still requires getting off the machine to use it.

Thanks for that link, I have the DR ripper on my BX, & I was planning on grinding a knife edge on the front of it before the next time I used it to dig up a stump. Hadn't considered doing the back edge. Maybe serations on the back edge, & knife edge on the front?

It'll be a lot of grinding though, I believe its over 1" thick.

I'm interested in using the DR ripper on my bx as well. Were you able to use your existing pins or did you have to do something else?
