Ideas for a sun viser for the Grand L5740

Okay I realize it is January and sun is very scarce especially around upstate NY this time of year but last summer when mowing the horse pastures after work I would encounter the sun blinding me as I navigated around those fields. These Grand L cab tractors don't come equipped with sun visers atleast here in the states. Canadian models might as they seem to get all the cool things up there like the front fenders ect. I would like to here from others what their solution has been for this problem. I am considering using dark window tint 8 to 10 inches wide across the top.

My dad is in the process of making a window visor for his gator, same princible, just on a larger scale. Ill ask him to foward some pics tonight and ill post.
