Ideas for Forum & ANTI SPAM

No idea if this is correct place to post - however an idea I have seen on other fora would be useful here - namely a list of users currently online with moderators (or similar) highlighted - and maybe have mods outside US timezones (follow the sun)?

This way, if events crop up when you guys in US are tucked up in bed, then can be flagged / acted upon.

Currently some muppet called supra shoes seems to be spamming every forum s/he can and I can see no way to report it / get it blocked. The rate s/he is going I guess there will be posts in every forum by the time its Breakfast in America (s/he started around 7.00 GMT).

Edit - just found the list of users online - but still have not worked out how to tell who is a moderator!

To report a post, you click the red triangle under the username.

And they did go within an hour or two.

If a post is reported - is it flagged for a moderators attention and left in situ or is it temporarily moved offline pending review?

It alerts all the mods-they have to actually remove it and ban the user. The post is still active until this happens.

I don't think you are supposed to reply to a spam post either. I think it makes it more difficult to remove the thread if there are responses to it. Just report it and the mods will take care of it pretty quickly.
