Hey guys,
Im still new around here but get on every night and read (exspecialy the land clearing section). I just recently bought me a rotary cutter from these guys Skid Steer Rotary Cutter . I am excited! I can see some problems comming due to not haveing a cab on my bobcat t190. Im not realy worried about the brush debree, im more worried about yellow jackets when if I hit a nest. Ive been thinking about it rill hard and have pretty much come to the conclusion of using a strong wire mesh scree on both sides of the cab and mabe a reinforced wire mesh screen door on the front that can easiley be removed when not brush mowing. The main problem whith using the cab kit is 1.I would probably die from heat in there, and 2 they are exspensive! Anyways I just wanted to see wait your opinions were on this small issue that I have came acrose, and see if any of you have came across something similar in the past. Thanks for any future responses!

you will suffocate with a cab and no air. In the winter, you might be able to crack the windows but the summer will be difficult and if the cab seals well, it will fog up from the humidity..

If you are just looking for a door and glass, you can get one (I actually have a used one i'll sell and ship) but you really need lexan (have that too). Glass will break when something hard ricochets and hits it.

that style mower you bought will throw debris and it will bounce off.. When I started mulching back in 1999, I started with Davco which is similar. I broke my glass and got cut up. Switched to lexan.. Lexan is a lot more expensive but the safest route. Bobcat doens't sell the 1/4" lexan inserts that replace the glass anymore but I had some made to factor specs, and can get that info for you or sell one of my used one's at half-cost.
I also have a glass door and all hardware except a working wiper that I will sell and ship.

It will fit an G or K series Cab and is Bobcat factory OEM off a T300.
The old Bobcat's had a wire mesh door.. it was miserable to look through.. and I got a headache trying to focus all day. you can send me a private message if you need more info.

I would jump on that. You must have protection. I've heard too many horror stories of people that don't think they need it.

The material is not the thing to worry about, imagine your cutting a tree about eye level and one if your blades break or a bolt breaks you have no control of where the blade goes. Reason enough.

I moved your thread to the Customization Forum. You'll get a better response there. ;)
