Anyone know what this is? Dark stem is plant. Note how leaves grow from branch. Thanks

Not 100 percent sure, but it looks like one of the winged euonymous species. Burning bush is considered a winged species, but there are a few others that have more distinct wings like your photos. Most are exotics, so they may not show up in normal tree and shrub books. Probably your best bet would be to take a sample to a good nursery/garden store or to an arboretum or Extension office depending on how specific an identification you need. Good luck.

That is an unusual plant.
Can you tell me more about it? Do you have these plants in abundance? Is it a tree or shrub? Where is it growing exactly and what type of soil? How does it reproduce....seeds, fruits, stolons, rhizomes.... can you get more pictures? Perhaps of the entire plant......
If you really need an answer I can get you one but I need more info.
I'm sure I have never seen this plant.
