IH 2400a
New member, first post. I have a IH 2400a tractor and want to attach a bucket loader. I have Valves for it but where do the hoses attach? Do i need anything else besides the valves and hoses. I don't see anything for hoses to connect to. My manuel mentions " auxiliary valves and manifold" what are they and where do they connect to the tractor. Thanks in advance from a novice.

Some tractors have a hyd adapter plate, and the ports are blocked off, so the hyd will run from the pump to the 3pt.

You may be required to remove this plate and replace with an adapter plate with ports to connect a loader.

Basically what you want to do is to take the pump flow and connect it to the loader valve, and connect all our hoses from the loader to the loader valve.

The PB out of the loader valve will go back to the 3pt connection, or remote valve if you have one, and the OUT port will go to tank.

Here are specs for a IH 2400b, may have similar characteristics..

The pump flow is about 17 GPM, with 12 GPM for the valve .

There is what looks like a plate bolted to the right side of the transmission housing just ahead of the rear axle. This is held in place by 7 bolts. could this be covering the ports? Is a "manifold" another term for an adapter plate?
thanks again

Yes.

Do you have the manual for your tractor?

It should describe everything necessary to install a loader.

On our Kubota's, they call it a hyd block. That is where we connect loaders and aux circuits.

My manual lists "additional equipment" that can be added to the tractor and installed by the dealer. It gives no information about how these are installed. Tomorrow i will call the dealer and get what info i can.

Thanks

If you go to the dealer, they may print out the pictures and instructions for you.

There might even be a CD of your tractor systems and parts.

I have a 2400 B that I am trying to hook some remote hydraulics up to? Can you guys help me out? I have a loader on it and a 3pt (no backhoe). I would like to run a remote hose so that I can put a 3pt backhoe on it. I looked at the hydraulic pump and there are two hoses going to the 3pt and two others going for the loader. Doesnt look like there are any other spots open. Do you think I could "T" off the hoses for the 3 point?

Mine appear to be teed off the loader control side and bottom ---Trevor

If your hyd system is open center, you can't tee anything except the tank lines.

You can interrupt the pressure line going to the 3pt and run that line to a remote valve IN port and then use the PB adapter to feed the 3pt. Run/tee all tank lines to tank.

Thanks for the reply to my first post ! I was hoping to find info on how much hydraulic fluid to top up my system ? Can't see a dipstick but there appears to be a fill plug just behind the seat into the trans housing . Don't see a separate tank or external pump. Just bought this on the weekend and it works good so I don't want to wreck it. I will order an owners manual. ---Trevor
