IH 384 alternator

Can someone point me in the right direction for an alternator? Looking at a '78 IH 384, which is currently being run off of the battery. Wanted to get an idea of what this repair would run. I see one on eBay, but am not sure it will work since I've seen some posts cautioning the compatability of parts being sold on eBay. Any input is appreciated!

Never mind. Found out the owner has an alternator that they haven't put on, because the problem is with the wiring.
