IH 574 hydrulic and brake problems

I have a problem with the brakes on my 574 international. Recently all the hydrulics stopped working, power steering, brakes, lift etc. Pressure on the tipping pipe was 1500psi. Fitted a new hyd. pump pipe, cleaned the gauze on the lift and pressure was ok 2700/2800 psi. Bled the system best i could, got power steering working and the lift too. Cannot get a brake working, seems to be spitting air on both sides and the lift will drop a few inches and lift again under heavy load. The hyd pressure on the tipping pipe is now 2200 psi. Any ideas what may be wrong? Many thanks Stephen

is there bleeders on each side of the rear end ? if so pump the brakes and bleed them.i assume that model has wet brakes. if so under the steering wheel is a brake divider valve clean it.

yea there are. I've tried bleeding both sides with the same results. Thats the equaliser valve? I will try that but why the lower hyd pressure then?

2700 psi too much 2200 about right .pressure relief valve may have stuck.under the seat is an adjustment for the lift,need a book to adjust.clean and check the equalizing valve. that may fix the brakes.the larger tractors have a plastic check valve that fails ,but i do not know if that tractor has one. o rings could be bad.

Just bled the brakes on my 574. Clamp the return line to the transmission, attach some clear plastic tubing onto the bleeder screws and rout them into the oil fill hole on the back of the tractor. Start the tractor and slowly push each brake pedal one at a time, then both together, then hold one pedal down, and push the other a few times. Keep doing this until no more bubbles show in the tubing. It might take a while so be patient. Don't go too fast or the master cylinder bottle won't stay full enough. Close the bleeders and check the pedal operation. Repeat if necessary.

Just to let everyone know i got the brakes sorted on the ih. I got 2 pipes ind put them on the bleeders to the back end filler cap and let her feed naturally. (without pumping) eventually she got rid of the air and the brakes are now fine. Many thanks to those who give their input.
