I need help with some transmission information on what "appears" to be a 2500 IH industrial tractor/loader. It looks like an industrial version of a 574 or 674 ag tractor. It has a 6 x 3 converter type transmission, with a mechanical shuttle, not a power shuttle. Only one clutch pack which evidently drives both directions. The shuttle lever moves a spool valve the engage the clutch pack and also shifts the fwd/rev gears located at the back of the transmission.
I have a book on the S-torque trans that IH used in most industrials of that vintage, but it's not the same. The S-torque has two clutch packs, one for each direction (as expected), and is only a 3 x 3.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this 6 x 3, and any idea what model/version tractor this might be? Thus far, I've seen nothing like it in any parts books or manuals.
It's getting harder and harder to find any oldtimers around who even remember IH industrials let alone worked on them.
