Left Manila yesterday at about 1230 at night, landed in Soul Korea four hours later, had a layover of five hours, than departed for Washington DC arriving at about 0945. Trip back was about 36 hours with very little sleep. Arrived back home to get a bill for a $500.00 for a replacement blower motor for my heat pump blower... Ouch. Left thinking we were replacing a quarter mile of farm fence, got back, looks like we are replacing a mile and a half of farm fence, work is in progress... Ouch. Both front tires on the kubota are flat, toyota car battery is dead, truck started but out of gas, gas is $3.00 a gallon. Good news is, I had my first HOT shower in 9 weeks and a great italian sub diner. Would I do it over, heck yes! My inlaws all live in the Philippines and really took care of all of us... I had better security than the President. Would love to rest for a month and go back for another 9 weeks! My tan is great too. Stock market is down, I'm going broke, and my final price tag for the trip and fence replacement will probably be $40,000 dollars... But life is GOOD and that new fence will look good and let me sleep at night knowing the cattle will not be in the road anymore! Cat is happy too, he was locked in the basement for a month all alone until my daughter got home, she only stayed in the Philippines along with my son for a month, they had to go back to college in January.
