It will undoubtedly have the 135. Their open station 1754 on the lot had that on it. Only oldish stock already on lots might still have 130s. I'm not concerned about it. It's certainly no reason to be a deal breaker for me.

Agreed ... Was just curious if anyone is still installing the DL130.

I didn't origionally see you asked price. It was $40,300 out the door delivered 120 miles away. That's for a 1754 hst cab, loader/bucket with third function, one rear float remote, and largest R4 tires loaded with beet juice. I'm probably missing something off the top of my head, but that's close. I have no idea how competitive that is.

[Edit: also stereo radio with bluetooth. I'll likely remember some other things later]

Brands besides Case and CAT? :D

Well, there's green of course. It's what I used growing up working on grampa's 5000 acre farm back in the day. Back in the day being the operative phrase. One look at today's offerings and I was done with Deere.

There's orange. I drive past a seemingly thriving dealer every day to and from work. But I have not been keen on their products because of wimpy hydraulics and light weight. I'm sure the quality is second to none, and I may end up with one, but for now I drive by.

There's blue, but they're Case in a different color and they don't offer what I want. There's kinda, sorta Yanmar, but I've no interest in them. There's a joke of a Branson. His 1 acre lot is filled with rusting junk, literally rusting junk, and 3, sometimes 4, low end tractors.

There's Mahindra. The dealer is a small engine biz that took up tractors on the side. It shows. They don't know jack .... about their tractors, even though they have many of them on the lot and seem to sell. They want MSRP for everything. Cash will get you MUSA rebates (which you mail in yourself) and nothing else. Ahem. They can't even install a rear remote for you. God help you if you needed them to do drive train warranty work! They're fine if you need a lawn mower or weed whacker.

Of the larger Korean brands, LS and TYM dealers start at 150 miles away and are really small. Their long term prospects are poor. Kioti has three almost exactly equidistant from me 130-150 miles. I am quite interested in an NX4510 hst cab, but I have so far shelved them for the simple fact that they don't offer a fel third function of any kind, and seem incapable of keeping simple parts like rear remote valves available. They will probably be back on the list soon.

As for what I want: a solid CUT with hst and a cab. HST because of the amount of fel work I will be doing. Cab because of my allergies to grasses. Rotary cutting in an open station in June is a recipe for flirting with anaphylactic shock. I need a filtered space between me and grass pollen clouds.

On paper the Massey 1749 is exactly what I want. But apparently I'll not be able to see one without driving 1000 miles round trip at least, probably somewhere in CA. Dunno, maybe I'll just spring for the giant Farmall 75C and live with shuttle and spotty turkish quality.

This got long. But, hey, you asked. :)

I've been down your road in my area.

I have a good trusted CNH/Kubota dealer about 4 miles from me where I've done business before but they are never the lowest price dealer around.

In the past ten years I bought two new MF tractors from a dealer about 30 miles away. Both tractors speced out better than comparable CNH or Kubota models and the prices were considerably better.

Starting almost immediately, I've had problems with both and dealer support has been like pulling teath. Both are out of warranty now and both are on the list to be replaced by Kubotas. I'm actively working on the latest/largest one now and will likely buy this month.

I also have Kubota bought new in 1994. In the 21+ years that I've owned it, I have done absolutely nothing to it aside from routine lube, oil, filters. Nothing. Not so much as a fuse, fan belt or light bulb. Nothing.

All new tractors that I buy in the future will be Kubotas.

Well, as noted above, the tractor is on its way. I will post any problems encountered. From my research, the Iseki-built tractors are as good of quality as the legendary Kubota, so I don't anticipate many, especially right out of the chute. I thought long and hard about a Grand L, but cost aside, for my uses, I just could not warm up to their relatively wimpy hydraulics and lighter weight.

Greetings biodegraded,

The new massey you are getting . . does it have the 5 year warranty like the GC1700s or the shorter warranty like the GC2400s?

I bet you are getting excited . . Good vendor and good tractor. And you are right . . . Iseki is not a stranger to reliable long term performance.

It's 2 years. I would only use it if something catastrophic occurred, otherwise I will do all work myself.

I'm pretty sure that all new tier 4 Massey compacts have the 5 year powertrain warranty, and either a 2 or 3 year bumper to bumper.

If it is a 1700 Series tractor it has 5 year/2000 hr warranty from the factory
