After a long search, thanks to the many posts on TractorByNet, I have bought my tractor. Being the new owner of 30 acres of pasture/timber in North Georgia, I needed something that would allow me to start a horse barn - house project over the next few years. The original owner cleared most of the tall pines, but a lot of work is still ahead, establishing pasture and clearing a few more trees and brush. From the many recommendations posted, I finally settled for the Kubota 3130 GST with the 723 FEL and assorted attachments. (blade, skid steer forks, BushHog, and a new trailer). Current experience has been limited to a JD LX lawn tractor, so this was an educational experience to say the least. Thanks to all for the many posts debating the right equipment. Without them, I am not sure what I would have ended up with. I still have a couple questions I'll post later, now that I am offical. A final plug for Goss Tractor in Jasper Georgia. Great prices from the comparisons with similar new equipment posts, and salesmen (William) that didn't make me feel "dumb" while asking "newbie" questions.
