I\'m looking for more good brands
I had an experience this weekend that got me to thinking about the products I buy. While cleaning my neighbor's driveway this past snowstorm my snowblower brokedown ( no good deed goes unpunished ) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It would no longer stay in gear. I also got my first flat at the same time ( see previous note ) anyway I got it home and couldn't find any place where a part broke or weld let go or anything that would cause my problem. It's an 18 year old Toro 824 which has never given me any trouble. I got an idea for checking the company website and found a full manual and exploded parts views for my machine. after printing out a few pages and returning to the garage I found the broken part ( cost $8.00 ) where I would not have thought to look. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I get a lot of satisfaction by repairing things at home. My yard stuff is Echo which also has the same info available. My two chainsaws are Jonsered which have some repair & parts info. What other brands are out there that have good support for tinkerers like me?
