I'm new too

[Silly question]

Hi, I've only just joined TBN after reading the forums for around 6 months while deciding on a tractor to buy for our farm.

I have taken over managing our small family farm from my parents so we don't have to sell it as they are getting a bit old for all the work. We had an old grey Fergie when we first moved here 33 years ago. After 8 years working on the tractor rather than working with the tractor we gave it to family member who is a mechanic (Fergie still runs great for them!). So after 25 years of doing absolutely everything by hand I have now bought a tractor! I'm sure I will have lots of silly questions!

You might be surprised how much help you have all already been just by looking over all the old threads. I feel like I'm absorbing so much knowledge from everyone, and have already changed my plans for many jobs based on what people have been suggesting to other.

Oh, and I'm sure there are plenty of silly questions, but much more silly to push on without asking first!

You know I have to look all of this up... I found a WIDE variety of definitions for knacker.
I thought buggerlugs was pretty benign until I saw something about doing something to ones "lugs"... It weren't PG either...

I'm going to be in the same boat as you. Haven't decided on a tractor yet.
