I\'m now a FORMER bulldozer owner
Yes, it's true. My little dozer did her job with aplomb over the weekend and is now heading to a new home in a sunnier climate. She even gets to go on a relaxing cruise first. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Believe it or not, she's going to go to somewhere in northern Africa now. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I got a phone call this morning asking to buy her and I figured since I got done the job for which I bought her I ought to move on. There were a number of other little things for which I think I might have been able to use her but nothing that I was sure she could do or that couldn't be done with something else almost as easily.
I know that this sounds like rationalizing and maybe it is but I figure that I got all the work done for which I truly needed her and only spent $35 for fuel, $15 for some parts to fix the exhaust stack, a gallon of oil I had on hand and, of course, about $100 for steak and beer for the help I had (and part of that is also for the help fixing my tractor). /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I guarantee there's no way I could have hired that work done for anywhere NEAR that. As it turns out, I even got all of those dollars back plus a few more so I couldn't be happier with that part. Of course, I fully intend to take those guys out for dinner again next weekend, too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm sure I'll think many times "I sure wish I still had that little dozer," in the future (and have already been told that many times) but am happy with what she did for me and that I got away without spending any major money on her to get this work done. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
You married guys might want to print this out and show your wives that you can buy something like this, use it for what you need and then sell it at a profit. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I doubt it'll help, but you could try... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
