Don't get up from that keyboard just yet.
First, thank you for your tractor buying basics, it helped this neophyte decide with some confidence on a tractor purchase. But I do not come from a farming family and there are no experienced neighbors to recommend nor show me how use an attachment.
It is obvious from questions on all of the discussion formums that an additional book is needed on how to use a tractor and operate the various attachments. I joke with my dealer that some farmer is missing out on running a tractor school where he would be paid by new owners to work his land for him. So the rows wouldn't be straight but he could make some money.
I have not found any text on what impliments are best for a given task nor how to use them, even equipment manufacturer's online manuals mostly discuss liability issues rather than how to use their impliment.
