There you go YLee Kioti. Now you got all your info and can solve his problem.

sniff ...sniff yah fergots dah /s tag.

so most likely the question was meant to help him determine a applicable tire versus pages of anecdotes with no recos.
So based on location then maybe consider a tire rated for M+S look for good rating buy a set and move on.
Now how many out there live in a world where you actually get as originally advertised? (that should be good for another 500+ posts)

Didn't get 60k? well then two choices:
Take vehicle to a Michelin dealer see if they pro-rate.
If not then simply get a new set of tires and enjoy the fact you wife is now driving a vehicle that is a tad safer then before.
As for the two repair shops not wanting to repair the tire, good on them.
Many reasons not to set themselves up for a law suit if tire fails at speed and someone is injured.

Now there. problem solved Right?:D

I got 130,000 miles on a set of Toyos from Les Schwab on my old Mercedes 240D. Not even to the wear bars. That car is perfectly balanced and could not spin its wheels if it had to.

I get Toyo Open Country from Les Schwab in Cheney. They are 60K rated, 6 ply, M+S tire. I've got exactly 35K on each of the last two sets of four. They are pro-rated so I pay, right at, half price for set two and three. Works for me. Siped - they do great in the winter over here on the "dry" side.

I have never owned a vehicle that got 130K miles. However - that will change. I almost crapped myself when I priced a 2018 F-150.

I built myself a brand new 10-ton farm wagon - now all I need is a pair of mules.

Ok...so what do you recommend? A friend suggested that after my recent experience with Goodyear Wranglers I look to an 8 ply truck tire. Will certainly be a rougher ride probably not suitable for a passenger car.
I've bought several sets of Goodyear Wranglers for my pu's and all of them were good.

A friend of mine buys/sells/uses Mastercraft and says they have been a very good tire for them. I believe Cooper makes them... That's what I'm buying next time for my car and light truck.

I buy the least expensive tire on the market off the net. Have them shipped. I have a tire/ balance machine at home When they wear out, I buy more.
They are DOT approved.
With the exception of a few, most are coming from china anyway

I had a thread on this a while back too about poor tread wear on these and got all kinds of responses about what to buy. I went back to the store (America's Tire) and they gave me a pretty substantial price adjustment on another set. I think it was $400 complete w/ road hazard for the new set. The new tires are different too with wider grooves than the old ones. The store had always been good to me, so I gave them another go. I went in asking what they had for better tread wear and they fixed me up. I don't think that I paid for the last set either as they were a recall.
