In the market for a tiller for my GC2310

I am in the market for a 48" tiller form my 2310. Do any of you guys have any words of wisdom as to brand and about how much one of those puppies may cost? I am just starting to research them so I am open to suggestions.

BTW, I love my 2310 and have been working it hard. It has been up to every task I have asked of it.

Good timing on this post, am starting look for a tiller my self. I am sure MF is a good choice for a tiller, but they just seem so expensive for their attachments.... bought a MF mid mount mulch mower and brush mower and they were more than an after market. Glad you like your new toy. Researched the gc2310 a lot and in no way am doubting my choice... have fun !!

Do you find the 60" a little big for the 2310? Does it make it work to hard horsepower wise and such ? Maybe a 48" would be better ?

If I were buying one, and I am considering it, I would go with the 48 to 50". The tractor does strain a bit with the 60" but I have used it and it does a really excellent job, even in the hard clay and tons of roots we have on our property. That is not to say that others wouldn't do as good, just relaying my experience.

The 60" KK weighs 600lbs and I put a couple 12" blocks in the FEL to keep the front feet in better contact with the ground.

I have a 54" 1st Choice Tiller. Over the last summers, I used it to prepare four 1 acre lots for lawns in heavy soil. The only issue to date has been the chain slot to hold open hinged tailgate panel (The chain can "bounce out" if a large rock causes the tiller to jump)

The 54" is a good size becuase:
1. The tractor easily powers it in low range
2. 3" wider than tractor wheelbase, allows coverage while turning.
2. Allows offseting the tiller 6" and still cover the tractor wheelbase. (I do not need to change after using the offset to get extra close to some obstacle).

KK makes an XB series 48" tiller just for that size tractor. I saw one at TSC on Saturday for around $1200. Actually, I'm considering one for my BX. I think the width of his tractor is about 45" so the 48" would be good.

I have the 60" kk, for my MF1528, and I love the king kutter, it really tears up the ground, nice and deep and fluffy, its geared no chain drive gear box.
I make 2, passes and I get around 12" deep, costomers love their gardens this year.
60" may be a little much, for your tractor, 60" requiers 24hp to the pto.

Looking up here in Alberta Canada but am having a hard time finding dealers that sell the CCM or King Kutter brand ? I found a Sigma tiller 48" but they wanted $2600.00 for it at a Kabota dealer. Seems excessive ?!
