Anyone one know of a sealant that is put into a tire that stay there forever to seal a leak if one occurs? There are to many draw backs to having foam filled tires.
I have used Gempler's seal for several years. They have two grades, and I use the more expensive one. The only time it has failed to seal is when I got a puncture and shortly thereafter parked the tractor with the puncture up. Apparently the liquid needs to pass over the hole quite a few times to work. In my case, I inflalted the tire and let it sit overnight with the puncture down. The next day it was sealed perfectly. If the nail, etc. stays in the tire, when you remove it you should either run for a while or park with the nail hole down.
