When there does not appear to be any type of emergency visible, does anyone know the average waiting time, for answers to reasonably common sense questions, submitted by Email ??

I have Concast cable INTERNET, and some times I get response back in 5 min. It probably depends on the server, where you are located, whether you are dial-up, DSL, or cable. Also consider time zones, and night time when no one is around. If you want to try and see what your speed is, just send me one email first to alert me , and then send me another email for time.

Thanks JJ,
If I can get this right I use; - http://homepage.eircom.net/~leslie/testpage.htm for checking modem speed.

I was mostly refering to days/weeks waiting for a reply either to my first note, or the reminder of a later date.

I have heard people complain about " that horrible Jersey accent ", so maybe combining that with England's, North Country English, could possibly create a deciphering problem.

Being from where I originated, patience is not major problem, it just prompted me to wonder, to how many other owners this happened. Thanks again for your interest JJ, I watch you always trying to be of help./

Am I correct that you are referring to an email sent to Powertrac?

My personal experience, and the experience of other posters here, is that PT is very poor at responding to email. I have had much better experience using the telephone to get a response.

Thank you for your inquiry. We value customer input and suggestions. Your message has been forwarded to our customer service department. The current wait time for responses is four years.

Another twenty one days of waiting. Thank goodness coffee is available, in my case that's hot tea.
Thanks MR for the estimated time, just 3 years and 344 days to go ! !

Hi Folks,
Sorry, I slipped off page one before I realised it had happened.
I know most of you will be happy to know, that I am no longer in the waiting room.
A family member gave me a short course, on the various ways in which business is conducted, which helped me understand, the reason why a lot of us cannot have our questions answered positively, when we try to evaluate our great little machines.
I was doubly hurt when I had explained to Terry that I find it very difficult to trust a phone conversation, so I used Email. Hearing is one of my failures which came during the aging process, in my injured mind, I thought " huh, doesn't want to communicate with the hard of hearing". But that's aside now, he was just doing his job. Actually if a greater percentage of the Country's business was handled the same as PWTI Inc, we would have security, way beyond anyone's imagination. It is as simple as the old wartime Poster in the UK, " Be like Dad, keep Mum ".
For those who did, Thank you for putting up with me, as the old grouch.
Yes, I will still be here, hopefully as a much nicer person.

Do you have a particular choice of CD, where a dumbcluck could try to absorb a reasonable amount of Hydraulics 101. My experience as a mechanic was limited to automotive brake systems, and A/C units.

NJBILL, Try this number on Ebay, Type this number in your search line. 250026425969 It is similar to the ones that I have. It covers just about every thing hydraulic. There are many other hydraulic CD on Ebay, if you want to search for more. Just type [ hydraulic CD ] in the search block. You can also search the Internet for just about any hydraulic question or word that you can think of. I search out and print lots of documents for pertinent info . I don't think there are any hydraulic technician on this forum. I think what we know is mostly self taught. I drop by the local hydraulic shop and ask many questions. Hands on is one of the best methods of learning. If you can take it apart, and put it back together, and it works, you have learned something, but if you take it apart and put it back together, and it doesn't work, you have still learned something. You may have learned what not to do. Mechanically inclined and good common sense are very important. If you get into trouble, ask for help.

Maybe we should ask the Computer Professor to make a CD of Hydraulics.
