Increase HP on 2004 Kawasaki 17 hp verticle shaft twin on Toro lx 417

Kawasaki has a 19 hp verticle hp twin with the same displacement but 2 more hp, almost a 9 % increase in HP. Any idea hwo expensive or difficult it would be to increase the 17 to 19 hp? It doesn't sould like much, but like I said it is an almost 9% bump in power. One can never have too much power.

I don't think its worth it. Was gonna do that to one of my Tractor. I thought hard and guess what? ain't worth it. Even though I was going from 12.5hp to 16.5hp.

You're probably right on that. Besides, it's such a smooth running engine now, I hate to mess with it.

So the displacement is the same.

You need to find out what is different then and change that. could be different porting, different carb, or just a different sticker:confused2:
