Looking for information or direct experience with John Deere (5301), New Holland (TT75) and Mahindra tractors made in India.

So far, Mahindra seems to have them beat. On the other hand, there are offerings for about 2000-2500 more that are the standard tractors from each "American" manufacturer. But who knows where those are made.

I can't afford the American made ones that are about 5K more.

Looking for experiences and information.

I have a 5203 John Deere that I am very pleased with so far. The Deere dealer has sold a ton of them and says they have very few problems with them. From all that I have read most owners are very satisfied with with them. One thing about them they have the Deere dealer network behind them with parts support that is second to none.

I own a Farmtrac 675 DTC, made by Escorts of India. 4.4 liter engine is UK built Perkins Diesel. Cararro transmission and front axle shared with the Mahindras. Priced in line with the Mahindras, more standard features than the Deere's & New Hollands (remotes, trannny's)

I like the specs on the Farmtrac and the prices seem to be inline with Mahindra. One thing that bothers me is my dealer said they've only sold 30 tractors in both Texas and Louisana this year. The whole thing could go either way.

I am really leaning toward Mahindra. I have a found a dealer I really like. And I have a 20K budget. And I doubt Mahindra is going anywhere.

Will decide by December.

It was a tossup for me also between Mahindra & Farmtrac. Quality (good) looked about the same. The loader on the Mahindra looked a little more heavy duty.
I bought from a dealer I had done business with already. He calls every 3 weeks or so to BS so we kinda are friends now.
