INEXPENSIVE REMOTE HYDRAULIC VALVE?

My dealer gave me a price of $700 for a second remote valve for my M6800. This seems like a lot for a valve, two hoses, and two couplers. Has anyone looked real close at a "kubota" remote hydraulic vale to see if it is actually another brend?

I could see Kubota buying a Prince valve or something for $100 and marking it up. Perhaps I could buy only the fancy bent lever from Kubota.

Maybe I'm showing my ignorance here, in that remotes would be that different than the loader controls, but the loaders (gotta learn to say FEL /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif) I've seen lately have HUSCO valves. Somebody enlighten me, too

So bota loaders use Husco valves, right? That is a start. My service manual shows very good drawings of the remote valves.

Kubota does use Husco valves for FEL's. Don't bother contacting Husco. They will give you no info and are rude to boot. I went thru this about 1 1/2 years ago. I asked Husco for a schematic for my valve and you would have thought I asked for the Moon.

I looked a bit when I bought for my TnT. Basically, I found the cheaper the valve, the bigger it was. I ordered a Prince 3-sp from Northern for $189. It reminded me of Fred Flinstone at the drive in when the car-hop set the rack of ribs on his car and it flipped. For my little B8200, the valve was twice as big as the fender. I wound up with a Tisco 2-sp valve for about $225 that fit better.
