I would venture a guess that a compant called "home made" is involved in the building, or at least assembly, of the spreader. The lower portion of the hopper looks similar to the fertilizer hopper on my John Deere 246 planter, while the upper portion appears to have been a 5 gallon bucket in a former life. The frame really has that home made look.
As far as value, probably needs to be based on how well it spreads, if you are allowed to try it out.
