Hi all,
I just bought this littel kubota L2500. It's a sweetheart, runs well and will hopefully give me years of service.
A couple questions:
How long will the fuel be good in the tank? Do I need to put a stabilizer in the fuel (Florida)?

On the little 3 cylinder diesel engine, sitting on top of the fuel injection pump, is a small valve with a knob on it. This knob is attached to a small black hose that runs up to the injector nozzles. Turning it on/off has no effect. Anyone know what this valve is for?

Anybody have a 8-12 KW PTO gen they wany to sell?

Does this thing have a hydraulic filter anywhere and how often does the fluid need a change?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

That might be a bleeder setup for the injectors, not sure though. If I were planning on keeping the tractor for many years I woud get a good set of manuals. Maintain it properly and it should last a long time.
Happy tractoring.

I put stabalizer in mine during the winter months. Mainly because it can take over 3 months to use a whole tank of gas. I do it to remove any chance of the fuel gelling. I suppose you would need to stabalize the fuel, even in florida, if the tractor is going to sit idle for a spell.

I know very little about diesels but found info on the web stating that too much injector pressure can over atomize the fuel and propel it too far into the chamber for effecient compustion. From what you describe, maybe this is an injector pressure control valve? to reduce the pressure somewhat. - - but this is all just guesstimation .. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
