Hi folks.....you'll see that I posted earlier today, but now I have a dilemma....I was contemplating/planning on getting a new Kubota or Massey Ferguson compact tractor to dig out under my house etc......but now I have the opportunity to get a Ingersol 7020 TLB for 8550.00. What should I do?!!! I can finance a new Kubota or Massey for low money and have a new tractor,,,,,or I can get the Ingersol (251 hours on the meter) for half the money ±.....Any thoughts would be appreciated...... The backhoe on the Ingersol is frame mounted, and the bucket has a 760# lift weight (compared to 460 on the Kubota). I'm told that the Ingersol is more rugged. It has a gas engine that operates hydraulics that run pretty much everything on the tractor, which I was told was a plus,,,,,,,,,,,but of course it matters from which horse's mouth it comes!!!!! I need to make a decision much sooner than later, so any reaction/input/advice would be appreciated....thanks in advance.....Tom Verrill

hi tom one question, iknow the model that case had was two wheel drive im not familar with the model # when ingersoll took over,i also know they came out with 4WD, so is it 2 or 4wd. if its 2 i don't think youll be happy with the diging ability. if it is 4wd it sould perform much like a bx, size and weight close to the same. Case had that model a long time befor the bx was even a thoght. either way it will take time to dig the hole.but it's still a lot faster than a shovel! the other thing is the bx has 3 pt ht cat 1.and offers more versitile performance after you dig your hole like mower, roto tiller, spreader, rear blade, landscape rake ect. the ingersoll is limited to the hoe. also don't forget the massey and deere, shop around it does pay trust me.

I'm don't know a lot about the Ingersoll line. But a couple of my neighbors have had them for years. They just keep going.

Here is a link to the Ingersoll site.

Thanks for your replies gone and ron.....it is a 4x4, and yes it lacks the 3 point hitch. The hoe is attached directly to the frame of the tractor....and thanks for the links ron....Tom
