I have a 1610TS, and was just wondering how do you check the oil in the injector pump. Also, where does the oil go in. I thought maybe it had a oil cap w/ stick. I am not familiar with a injector pump. Thanks for any in put Rambo N.C.

There are hex head screws on the side of the pump. One is level and the other drain.

Like Reed above said, there are two hex screws on the side of the Kiki pump. The one near the bottom of the injector body is the drain, the level plug is just above near the middle of the body, and the threaded mushroom shaped breather / fill port on the top of the body where you fill it. Thei injector uses engine oil (15w-40 or 30W, etc., whatever you use in the motor).

Thanks guys for the response. I was looking at the bottom of the pump, and I see 3 hex screws. The 2 at the bottom are small phillips head, and the 1 at the top, which is middle ways up, is a larger flat head. I do see the mushroom looking cap which looks like is held on by a nut. I guess I just need to find out which of the screws is the one where the oil will run out when it is full. It seems that it will not hold that much oil. Thanks. Rambo

Thanks all for the info, I was wondering how you checked this oil level, the diagram of this in my service manual is very faint and I couldn't make it out. I have attached a picture of the injector pump taken from slightly below, which shows the screws in question.
I hope it helps any others out there.

Thanks John and great picture! I was just wondering is it the 2 small screws or the large/big screw? What does each of these screws do or do you know? I have a manual too but it doesn't really go into detail. Thanks! Rambo, NC

I assume its the two small phillips head hex screws? I am sure one of the guys above will confirm this.

Thanks John, I take the bottom one out to see if any oil comes out. Again thanks for the reply.
