Tires ink marked on bolts/wheel

my new 3038E delivered to house last week been using to grade driveway. yesterday my neighbor stop by to look at the tractor, he notice the ink marked on bolt/wheel many of them are not align. what does it mean ??. this is my first tractor.

Hi neighbor!

I noticed the same thing on my tractor.

My guess is that they are marked after initial assembly, and then re-torqued to spec at a later point, perhaps as part of the dealer pre-delivery inspection process.

I alos noticed this on my 3032e when I got it home. I too am thinking this is where they initially torqued the wheels, marked them, and then retorqued after a QC check before going onto the lot, or before delievery.

You should check wheel torque at least every 50 hours or less. Take some lacquer thinner or other solvent and carefully rub the ink off of the bolts. Check your torque. Then take a sharpie and re-ink the bolts matching the marks on the wheels. Now you will know when to re-torque them.

The marks make t easy to see if your blots are moving. All the bolts on my loader are paint pen marked and a quick glance shows if they need a more in depth looking at.

The new 5065M has those marks too, I figured it was something like that.

thanks everyone, i feel better now, just don't want to operate the tractor with out knowing the reason. the tractor will be grading the driveway today.
