Is it a block heater that installs in a core pug hole in the block ? Before you start make sure it is the correct size for your tractor. If it goes in a core plug hole, you have to drain the cooling system, knockout the core plug and then install the block heater in its place making sure the element does not ground on any metal surface in the cooling jacket. Some block heaters are designed to go into a specific core plug hole so that's why I say make sure that you have the correct block heater for you application.
