On my PT. Installation was simple, although the tach is bigger than the original hour meter I had. My mounting is solid, but not as nearly as pretty as a lot of the work I see here on TBN.
One note, make sure you measure the distance from the dash to the engine correctly. I never factored in the drop down to the floorboard from the dash and back to the engine. The 8ft of cable nearly did not make it. Also, just because you have an american tractor, don't assume that the engine is. My engine is german and the piping is metric...
The results are it works (at least I think so cause I have nothing to compare it to). Lots of functions so you can set up work times or maintenance times...
