I went with Flood beam for the rear work lights and the rock lights and Spot beam for the front lights. All are 27W versions. Now that I have both versions side by side, if I had it to do over I think I'd get the Spot beam for the rear work lights too. It isn't as much of a true Spot as I thought it would be, but I'd read that several times in reviews and decided to try and see for myself. I like them. They seem to shine as wide as the Floods but a lot farther out.

The rock lights work GREAT. Really light up the area under and all around the tires and I can look down at my tires at night and see exactly where they are. I need to change the mount for the one on the RH side, as the brake pedal bars hit the top of it when pushing the brake hard. I just angled it down a little more for now (don't use the brakes much at all with the HST) but I'll do something more permanent soon.

And the switches I am going to use for them.

Very nice. I am looking to add some LEDs for the back and sides of my tractor before winter hits. Here it is past the solstice, winter is on the way. What company's lights did you use?

Very nice installation! Where did you get the lights and rocker switches? Also, did the rocker switches come with the lettering/graphics or did you do that? The switches look great.

I have 55watt non LED lights mounted on my ROPS. I got on the LED bandwagon last year and purchased a set of 27watt LED lights. While they're nice for rock lights, for tractor lighting they're barely adequate. After all 27 watts is 1/2 55 watts so I should have expected 1/2 the light output. And that's what I got. So keep this in mind while shopping for LED lighting. It's less light and the beam is not as long, not even close to the conventional lights. At lot of the LED output has to do with the design of the reflector as well. Each of my 9 3-watt LEDs (27W total) have a deep polished cone surrounding it to reflect the maximum light but still just adequate while in use. So off with the new and back to the conventional bulb lights for me at least.

Just my experience and you're rig looks great, especially the custom switches. But if you have the amps, ditch the LEDs until a better light becomes available. It's a day and night change, literally.

btw, my Audi has true Xenon head lights and talk about night to day, these things are fabulous!

Got the lights off Amazon, from TUF LED. Got the switches from otrattw

The Flood beam lights are ok, they'll do fine for lighting up the implement on the back and seeing what it's doing, but the Spot beams are MUCH better, are not a true "spot" like some I've had on other applications, more like a semi flood almost. Having both, if I had it to do over, I'd get the Spot beam for front and back. From what I've read, my tractor doesn't have the extra amps to run a bunch of lights, which is why I went LED to begin with. If it did, I'd have just installed plain old halogen 55W work lights and spent a lot less money on them. However, I AM happy with the lights and would do it again - only I'd get Spots for both sides of the ROPS.

We are planning on installing lights inside our ROPS, too. Only we were gong to just use one set that can rotate from front to back ... we seldom need to drive forward while using the backhoe.
