Greetings gentlemen,

I have a question for you all. My dad has a Max 26 XL that he got two years ago. He has recently expressed the desire to have a 12 volt DC outlet installed on his current tractor. I know very little about electronics myself, but would it be possible to get the parts, wire, and fuse(s) to install a 12 volt DC outlet on his current tractor without a lot of hassle or chances of messing up the existing electrons already on the tractor? Is there anyone who has done this themselves? Thank you for any information you can provide. :)

Gab a fuse that controls something semi non critical like the lights or other non essential items and take it to a GOOD auto parts store. Ask for a “fuse tap”, wire, connectors and whatever style “plug” (typically the “cigarette lighter” style) you guys decide you want. The key will be the fuse tap and having the parts guy or gal show you everything else you need. This should ensure no electrons are damaged!
Trying to explain how to do it without bowing what parts you end up with will be difficult. The auto parts store will explain it all.

It depends on what the outlet will be used for and how much current whatever is being powered pulls as to how to proceed.

Hey guys,

This is what my dad is thinking about using that requires a 12 volts outlet:

He is thinking about putting one of these on his ROPS when traveling on the road through town. I just got one for my SCUT and it is a pretty nice light. I just try to be safe when I travel on the road with my tractor when I need to. I want to be visible and catch the attention of automobile drivers so they see me.

The ease of installation depends on what the outlet will be used for.
I wanted to power my 12 volt sprayer, so, I replaced one of the taillights with a trailer connector.

Now, when I want to use the sprayer, I just plug into the location wher the right taillight was.
It works perfect, and a bonus,, when I turn off the lights, the sprayer stops!!
