My 2 year old 4300 does that. On one of the tractor boards, it might have been this one, somebody said that JD had a recall or something for that. He had his fixed for free by the dealer. I'm surprised that the newer ones are still having the problem. As I remember the fix was some kind of antifogging dash glass.

dewald,

Same thing happens on my 4010. The first time I thought it was due to a washing, but it happened again last week after using it to box scrape my driveway in preparation for winter. The tractor hasn't been wet for over a month. I can still read everything, but it does cloud up.

My 4300 does that. Like others said, I heard there was a fix. I figure next time it goes in for anything I'll have them do the fix. Not sure what it entails.

I had my 4300 fixed two years ago. It was under warranty and did have something to do with a DTAC(?) notice.

I am also surprised the new models still do the fogging. I thought the fix was an anti-fogging coating. It was annoying, and not related to washing the tractor. Best to check with your dealer about the problem.

The 4700 that I bought this Spring does this too. It does it when the engine is run hard for any length of time and it is annoying but it clears up after the tractor is shut down for a while.

Just took delivery of my new 4210 in late November. Having the same problem as the rest of you. This is the only problem I've had with the new tractor, definately not earthshattering but at the very least annoying. I plan on having it looked at when it goes in for 50 Hr servicing.

Bill,
It wasn't a recall, it was what Deere calls "FIX AS FAILS"
Which translates into , if you complain, we have a cure
