What do you guys do for insurance on your tractors? I suppose I could contact my homeowners agent. Any thoughts?

I'm covered under my homeowners policy, as long as I'm not doing any paid/commercial work.

Make sure you never loan your tractor, or any other tool, to anyone who plans to use it off of your property. Homeowners insurance doesn't cover you for the potential massive liability.
I learned this, (and confirmed it with my State Farm agent who checked with the company and adjusters), from a TBN post by:

I printed that post and show it when someone asks to borrow a tool.
The problem is, the borrower is out of the equation if there is an accident. The borrower cannot control actions of his insurance company when they attack you to reimburse themselves for the borrower's claim. It's sick.

The problem with homeowner's insurance is it only covers the tractor as long as it is on your property. Take it up the street to help a friend and you have no insurance.
I joined my County Farm Bureau for $35 a year and then was eligible to buy Farm Bureau Insurance. $13,200 coverage on my tractor and implements for $53 a year. My State Farm agent recommended that solution, it was cheaper than he could offer even figuring in the cost of the Farm Bureau membership.
It does not include liability insurance so you may need to go elsewhere if you need liability.
Interesting policy, it covers "This policy insures against all risks of direct physical loss of or damage to the property covered from any external cause except as otherwise provided".
It lists the usual exclusions for wear and tear, war, etc. but covers anything that happens to the tractor or listed implements. If I roll it, it is stolen, etc., it is covered.
One caveat: It is only good within 50 miles of the address on the policy so be careful about taking it too far away from home.
