When a load is placed on the 3PH the control lever locks and takes far more effort than should be required to move it to lower the load, unloaded the 3PH
and control lever work as should. A new pump has been fitted and pressure is OK.
Thanks for any assistance.

Try putting a load on the lift without using the toplink. If the lift works as it should, you may have an issue in the draft control linkage. Draft on those models is toplink sensing, and some of the linkage and operation can be accessed by removing the coverplate on top of the lift housing under the seat. Might look for excessive play, or something bent/bound up in the linkage from the toplink bracket itself, or something twisted, worn, etc. I've tested many a 3pt by simply backing the lift arms under my pickup's rear bumper and lifting the truck off the ground a few times. Easier than hooking and unhooking an implement for a thirty second test.

Thanks for your suggestion, I have sort of checked the top link, the 3PH is mostly used
with a jib crane.
Will give it a go just using the two lift arms as soon as I get a chance.

Found the problem was caused by a missing circlip on a spool valve.
