If your asking me I'd advise you to steer well clear of it............
I've owned a JL254 for 3 yrs now, it has 130Hrs on the clock and in that time the following has gone wrong.
1@ 20Hrs. Hydraulic pump wore out. Dealer supplied a new one under warranty
2@ 22Hrs. 4x4 input shaft (circlip slipped out of groove causing gear not to ingage)
3@ 25Hrs. Cluch disk sheard facing off. Relpaced under warranty.
4@ 26Hrs. Replaced brake cables, old ones stretched to far.
5@ 60Hrs. Starter motor packed up(faulty drive)
6@ 65Hrs. Steering ram mounts stripped out
7@ 120Hrs. Engine noises start( loud knocking from bottom end)
8@ 130Hrs Engine dies and will need a rebuild
Apart from the above its a great tractor..........NOT
Those above are the major troubles I've had with mine, not to mention lots of little anoying things like the tyres going flat on a weekly basis, battery always flat, mountings constantly coming loose due to sloppy threads, i think i have shares in Loctight now.
Did i mention the front hubs leaking from day one.
No dealer support anymore in my state, we had quite a few where i live but they all wised up and off loaded the brand because of all the problems.
Still wanna buy one.........THINK AGAIN MY FRIEND.
