I've been wanting to build a larger version of these to put gravel in parts of my vineyards where I can use some. I wanted to design it to drop it in the center and then use the box blade to spread it in the low wheel tracks. Ideally I would have the box attached to the trailer so it spreads as it drops. Will be a fun project if I ever get the shop set up to be able to fabricate such a beast.

Here is a simpler design for a controlled dump/spreading trailer.

I have been giving one of Larry Edgar's single axle MUTS trailers hard and frequent use for two years; mostly in the woods. MUTS trailer follows my Kubota RTV500 utility vehicle everywhere, and I mean EVERWHERE. Loads is carried low, very stable. I towed three loads of moist dirt in the woods yesterday, must have been 1,000 pounds plus per load. Unusually, I did need 4-WD engaged and LOW range on the HST.

Another small trailer business with a quality product.

Shipping was pretty high to Florida but you are close to the Canadian border so shipping should be "reasonable".
MUTS comes flat in a box. Assembly took two of us about two hours; clear instructions.
