In addition to TBN, I am a member of a woodworking forum and saw an interesting Christmas auction where the proceeds go to members of the forum who are in need. The basic gist is that people donate items, people bid on them and the proceeds bring smiles or relief to some down-on-their-luck families.
Given the unbelievable generosity of the TBN family, I could see this being very successful here.
Just thinking out loud.

Some sellers include shipping in their donations, others do not, in which case, the buyers send a separate payment to the seller to cover shipping. When bidding, please pay attention to this. Let's not have any misunderstandings about why the Felder or Altendorf is stuck at Patsfan's house in NH while you and the seller re-read the auction posting.
Past recipients have been folks on extended layofffs, folks with families facing serious medical issues, and folks trying to rebuild from flood or other natural disasters.
Auctions seven day rule and "fair warning":
All Auctions close at 9PM EST on Dec. 15*
Unless there are no bids on an item for 7 days, then that auction closes at 9 PM est 7 days
from last bid.
Since you guys may be tracking some of these closer than I am, Let me know if one is closing
out and I will try to post a "Fair Warning" bump. A new bid restarts the 7 day clock.
If one closes, and I miss it, give me a heads up via PM.
Also, I will lock the Auction posts once I have notified the winner and the donor. - Not trying to
kill further discussion, but figured that would make it easier to spot which auctions are still
live. If that causes more confusion, or if there is a reason to unlock, let me know.
Thanks, and thanks for your generosity and understanding.
