John Deere 3720
Hi all. I have a JD3720 with a backhoe. The last two times I started the tractor, the left stabilizer would not raise. The lever would not move in that direction. After about 20 minutes, it would work. What is going on?

water/ice in the system is a guess...

If that is the case, do I need to flush the entire hydraulic system?

I would flush and use recommended fluid for your climate.

Most of the time it is water in the spring cup or in the linkage system, not in the hydraulics. Your system would have to be in BAD shape for a valve spool to freeze up. Personally I have never seen it. Almost all the time it is the detent or spring center cup on the back of the spool [opposite the linkage hook up] that has water in it. CJ
