Intermittent start - L3400

now on to the start/stop. do you guys really leave your tractor running for extended periods of time if you are not driving it??

The 3400 has no clutch safety switch, it'll start as long as it's in neutral (gear drive) or the HST pedal is in "neutral" position (HST version).

The first click is the fuel solenoid, if no click when turned to start position it's a safety switch.

I'm pretty sure I can not start it without the clutch... I have the HST... But I do keep it in Low, Med or High. I'll have to check into that this wk/ed

I knew I'd learn something from this thread.. Mine is gear drive, no clutch switch according to the owner's manual.
