I have a IH international harvester 2424 tractor, equipped with a 2000 loader and a 3121 backhoe. Its the one with the rack and pinion swing system. I just acquired the machine and everything works great, except the backhoe swing and the stabilizers. They do work but they are very weak. At idle if you try to swing, the boom will move super slow and with no power, rev it up and it starts to move a little faster but still no power. Same with stabilizers, seems like theres not much pressure, have to rev it up all the way and it will barley lift the machine off the ground. That being said, when the valve is switched to the power steering mode, the steering has no issues and feels like it is operating with full pressure. I know the swing and stabilizers run off a separate pump (power steering pump). There is a valve you have to flip before you use the backhoe, it diverts the fluid from the power steering to the stabilizers and swing cylinder.
I was thinking maybe theres a pressure releif valve somewhere that is stuck open maybe? Or does the swing cylinder need new o rings? Not too sure where to start. If anyone has had this same problem let me know!
