I am looking at a old International Harvester 2 bottom trip plow that is sitting in the trees at a neighbors house. It is not his plow but I did contact the owner about it (need to work out a price). The plow seems to be in good shape. 1 of the 2 coulter wheels turn freely. The 1 moldboard has a weld down it. The wheel bearings turn but are rough.

I would like to know what model it is and a approximate value on it.

The third photo is of the numbers stamped into the main beam. SA6002 is what it reads.

I did some more research on the plow and I think it is a Little Wonder No 2 or 4. Could also be a Little Genius but it lacks the rear wheel and has the hitch set up to work without the rear wheel for raising the moldboards off the ground.

It looks like a good plow to go behind the Case! I would hope you wouldn't be trying to use it for production as the parts for the bottoms if available would be quite expensive.

Thanks. I plan on restoring the plow if I get it. The moldboards look to be in good shape minus the weld on the one. There is lots of material left on them and they have good points and shins.

My Dad had a 2 bottom IH plow for many years that was very similar to that one. I think his had disk wheels instead of spoked wheels. If I remember correctly, there was some sort of trip/latch mechanism to let the wheels raise the plow at the end of the furrow. The hitch also had a spring loaded hitch hook that went into a twisted clevis on the tractor drawbar. If you connected with something too solid, the hook would release, protecting the rig from breaking. I still have a twisted clevis that was Dad's - maybe the same one he pulled that plow with.
