I was given a 1958 International TD6. It does not like to stay in first gear. Pulled off the shifter assembly. It looks like the slop in it was preventing first gear from fully engaging. I am looking for a better shifter with not so much play in it. Also wondering if I can change out first gear without splitting the machine. The leading edge is pretty beat up. It looks like you might be able to slide the shaft out the back of the machine. Anyone have any thoughts? Also any suggestions were to find parts in upstate ny for it? Thank you
