Using the 'Build Your Own' utility and specification sheets on the JD website, I've been comparing the 2320 and 2520 CUTS and would like to know how to interpret the tire specifications.

In the table below I've summarized the specs. I know that R3 means Turf tread and R4 means Industrial tread. But how does one interpret the remainder of the designation, and what does it mean in terms of physical size and differences between the two models of tractor?

2320 2520

Front Front
23x8.5-12 R3 24x8.5-14 R3
31x13.5-15 R3 36x14-15 R3

Rear Rear
23x8.5-12 R4 23x8.5-12 R4
12-16.5 R4 14-17.5 R4

Your help is appreciated -

Using the size 23x8.5-12 as an example: 23= tire diameter, 8.5= tire width and 12= rim diameter. The units are in inches.

For a 12-16.5 R4 tire: 12= tire width, 16.5= rim diameter. Sorry, I lost my internet connection before completing the previous post.
