Kioti DK45SE HST Cab
Hi Everyone!

My name is Jim and I am from Northern New Brunswick, Canada and the proud owner of a new Kioti DK45SE HST for about a month now. I would to thank many posters for thier posts and comments about their tractors as it was helpful in making my decision about which brand to buy.

My primary use of the tracor will be for personal snow removal and working around my sawmill. As of late I have been doing alot of landscaping work around my camp and on my road to the camp.

I am looking forward to winter in a way as I will not sitting on my open IH B414 with a loader and NO power steering trying to keep the road open!! I hope to be wearing jeans and a T-Shirt.

Thanks again and I look forward to all the new posts and discussions but most of all, putting hours on the new tractor!!

Jim :)

Welcome to the "Pack," Jim.

I can't say that I look forward to winter even down here, but I understand your sentiment.

Welcome.
This is the fourth summer for my DK45SC. Unfortunately, the HST wasn't available when I bought my tractor. The cab is really nice when the weather is bad (too hot, too cold, wet, buggy!!! etc.), but it makes me nervous to use it in the woods...I took the mirrors off for the summer to avoid bashing them.
You're gonna love that tractor, but be prepared to start covetting handy (but expensive) attachments, like grapple rake, box blade, etc.

Hi Jim,

My CK-20 is coveted by many around here. Helps keep me in credit in the favour department.

I like the snow even more since I bought a power angle/power lift blade from Michigan Iron and had it shipped up to Newfoundland. The CK-20 can really push the 72" blade, and I have a 54" blower on the back if anyone thinks a blade can't do it all. Even with the freight, the blade was cheaper and better than what I could get locally for snow clearing.

Now, if I could only get a right sized soil shaker, preferably a trommel screen.

Enjoy your new purchase!

Congrats on the new tractor. I'm sure it will clear out all the snow you get and the heated cab will actually make it fun. Sure beats putting on multiple layers of clothes and sometimes turning into a snowman.

JON-just talked to the guys at Michigan Iron. How long does it take you to remove blade? Been looking at putting a blade on my FEL, but if this plow goes on and off quickly, i might consider it. Especially if the subframe has good ground clearance.

Jim In New Brunswick...good luck with your purchase. Kinda funny to be talkng about snow, when it's been in the 90's.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the Kioti Pack. Like you I also purchased a new Kioti, a DK40se.
I am located in Southwest Nova Scotia and am looking forward to snow removal like JonKioti from Nfld.

Jon,
Is your power angle blade a quick attach connected to the Fel or do you have to remove the loader? I have a 74 inch Pronovost blower for the rear but am considering a power angle blade also.

What is the best way to get hydraulics to operate the power angle blade?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Love my Kioti so far.
