New Holland TC30
Hello Folks - new to this forum and just saying hello.... I'm an operator, not owner, of a 8yr old New Holland TC30. Owner lives across the county road, and is a great guy, as is his lovely wife. He's a professional drummer with 40yrs in the music industry with many personal awards in both rock and country western. He still plays for his own pleasure and now produces travel videos and other media as a business. I offer that background as explanation for why I'm maintaining and allowed to use his tractor whenever needed. That is, he doesn't know a screwdriver from a crescent hammer when it comes to mechanics, plumbing, electrical, wood working or anything, other than music and media production. Oh, and he taught himself how to fly drone helicopters to support travel videography...

I can troubleshoot and wrench on just about anything, including electrical so there you have it. What I don't have is an OM or MM for this tractor so I started the search for online info and ran into this forum. I'll be heading to the New Holland specific forum next and I'm sure I'll find anything I need there for info or advice.

Thanks to all who had a hand in putting this forum together and maintaining it. I have old cars and motorcycles and use forums regularly for acquiring and sharing info that is sometimes hard to come by without resorting to dealerships, particularly with older vehicles.

Cheers!
Jim H

Thanks for the welcome Ryan!
Spent a few hours running down filters and liquids to do another service. Spent another few hours greasing the zirks and coating all the 3-point hitch adjustment threads with anti-seize and lastly finished getting the rotary mower (old Dutchman) checked out and adjusted behind the tractor. Only glitch was one of the mower driveshaft u-joints was missing the zirk fitting. Had to run to town to a local auto parts place to get a new one, installed after cleaning out the port in the u-joint and greased it up. Mower's now ready to do combat with the earlier than normal growing season here. As soon as parts and fluids arrive I'll service the tractor engine and trans and that will do it for another few years. Thank you again for the welcome.
